Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed the Matriculation / Equivalent examination from an Education Board listed as a COBSE member.
Note: Education Boards listed on the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) website as members, as of the registration date shall only be considered.
Marital Status: Only unmarried Indian male candidates are eligible for enrolment as Agniveervayu Non-Combatants in IAF. Candidates must undertake not to marry until completion of their ab-initio training. A candidate may be dismissed from service if he marries during ab-initio training or is found to be already married in spite of giving an undertaking regarding the same.
General Medical Standards for Agniveervayu NON-COMBATANT
Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cm
Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable. Vision requirements as applicable as per Indian Air Force standards.
Hearing: The candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
Dental: Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
General Health: The candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
Consumption of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS)
Consumption of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic substances banned under the NDPS Act 1985 shall be a reject criterion for selection into the IAF and AGNIVEERVAYU NON-COMBATANT found either in possession or storing or distributing or consuming such drugs and substances after enrolment shall be liable for disciplinary action including dismissal from the IAF. A ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY FOR ALCOHOLISM AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE IS FOLLOWED IN IAF.
Body Tattoo:
Permanent body tattoos shall not be permitted, however, tattoos only on the inner face of the forearms (inside of elbow to the wrist), back (dorsal) part of the hand/reverse side of the palm, and Tribal tattoos which are as per custom and traditions of their tribes may be considered. However, the right to decide on the acceptability/unacceptability of the individual shall rest with the Selection Centre. Candidates with permanent body tattoos shall submit two photographs (close-up and distant view) with details of the size and type of the Tattoo, during the second phase of the Selection Test.
Only Sikh candidates:
whose religion prohibits cutting of the hair or shaving of face, shall be permitted to grow hair and/or retain beard and moustache. Accordingly, those Sikh candidates willing to retain the same as per laid down specification are to get their photographs with beard and moustache. Such candidates will not be permitted to shave a beard/moustache at a later stage after enrolment.
Age limit:
Date of Birth Block: Candidates born between 31 Dec 1999 and 30 Jun 2005 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as of the date of enrolment should be 23 years for the enrolment cycle of 2022.
Selection procedure for Agniveer Recruitment 2022:
The test will be conducted at CASB/AFND/AFRO/AFCAO/AFCME. To qualify for the Agniveervayu Non-combatant selection test, a candidate has to score a minimum of 50% marks in each part (written test & Stream Proficiency Test).
Written Test: 20 Marks
Stream Proficiency test: 30 Marks
Physical fitness test: Qualifying nature
Medical Examination: Fit/Unfit
The written test will be common for all the streams. The subject-wise breakdown of the written test is as follows:-
General English: 10 Marks
General Knowledge: 10 Marks
How to Apply For Agniveer Recruitment
Application as per attached format duly filled in all respect to be forwarded to any one address as indicated in notification pdf. A self-addressed envelope with a Rs 10 stamp affixed should be forwarded along with the application for dispatch of admit card for written examination.
ENROLMENT LIST / CALL LETTER. The list call of candidates finally called for enrolment in AGNIVEERVAYU NON-COMBATANT INTAKE 01/2022 will be published at CASB/AFRO/AFND/AFCME/AFCAO. A call letter to the finally selected candidates will be forwarded by postal mail.
