Reservation and Relaxations for Artisan Grade IV Posts
The following reservations are applicable:
PWD Candidates:
OH (Locomotor Disability): OA or OL, leprosy cured, Dwarfism & Acid Attack Victim.
VH (Low Vision)
HH (Deaf & Hard of Hearing, Speech and Language Disability)
Relaxations in Upper Age Limit:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC (NCL): 3 years
Persons with Disabilities: 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC-NCL), 15 years (SC/ST)
Ex-Servicemen: As per extant Govt. rules
Domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir (1/1/1980 to 31/12/1989): 5 years
Eligibility Criteria: Qualification and Upper Age Limit
Here are the details about qualifications and age limits
Education:
Class Xth + National Trade Certificate (NTC / ITI) + National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade.
Minimum 60% marks for Gen & OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC & ST candidates in both NTC/ITI and NAC.
Desirable: Knowledge of Regional Language (Tamil Nadu, Telangana/Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka based Units) and Hindi for other Units.
Upper Age Limit (as of 1st July, 2025):
Gen/EWS: 27 Years
OBC (NCL): 30 Years
SC/ST: 32 Years
PWD/Ex-Serviceman: Relaxation as per Govt. Rules
Age relaxation on relevant work experience may be applicable.
Emoluments and Benefits: Artisan Grade IV Job
Temporary Employees for one year with consolidated wages as per applicable minimum wages in the Manufacturing Unit of posting.
Regularization as Artisan Grade-IV after successful completion of the temporary period.
Pay scale of Rs 29,500 – Rs 65,000 with applicable allowances at the time of regularization.
Selection Process: How to Apply for Artisan Posts
The selection will be a two-stage process:
Stage I: Computer Based Examination (CBE)
Candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test in a 1:5 ratio based on CBE marks.
PwD & Ex-Servicemen candidates will get relaxation below the cut-off marks.
Stage II: Skill Test & Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted after the CBE will undergo a Skill Test & Document Verification.
Final merit order will be based on CBE Score and qualification in Skill Test.
