Eligibility Criteria for Senior Residents in AP Medical Education Services

• Post: Senior Resident

• Academic Qualification:

  • Medical postgraduate degree MD/MS/DNB/MDS in the concerned specialty

  • Registered in the AP Medical Council

  • *DNB in Broad Specialties granted by a Medical Institution with an attached Hospital or in a hospital with a strength of 500 or more beds granted by the National Board of Examination are only eligible as per Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022.

• Remuneration / Honorarium: Rs 70,000/- pm (Rs 65,000/- pm in case of Dentistry)

• Age: Must be below 44 years of age as on the date of Notification

• Tenure:

  1. The post of Senior Residents are tenured positions for 1 year only.

  2. Selected candidates are to compulsorily complete a one-year period.

• Eligibility to apply:

  1. Candidates must have a Post Graduate Medical degree (MD/MS/DNB) from a Medical College/Institution recognized by NMC/MCI and have A.P State Medical Council Registration.

  2. Local Candidates to AP state are eligible for selection. Non-Local candidates with AP Medical/Dental Council Registration are eligible for Senior Residency if local candidates are not available.

Vacancies for Senior Residents 2024: Selection process:

• The merit scored in post-graduation exam (including theory & practical) will be the criteria for preparing the merit list & further giving postings as Senior Residents duly following the rule of reservation (RoR).

• Rule of Reservation will be followed.

• In case of more than one candidate having the same marks, Date of Birth will be taken into consideration, and the elder person will be given first preference.

• The selection committee reserves the right to alter or modify the conditions laid down in the notification for final selection and also posts notified.

Application Procedure for Senior Residents Recruitment

1. Applicants are instructed to submit the application online with the following documents:

   1. S.S.C. certificate (Proof of date of birth)

   2. Registration of PG degree with A.P. Medical Council

   3. Marks lists of Post-graduation (MD / MS/DNB/MDS). Applications without mark list will not be considered.

   4. Copy of Degree/ Provisional Degree Certificates of

      • MBBS/BDS

      • Post-graduation MD / MS / DNB/ MDS

   5. Social Status Certificate (SC/ST/BCA/BCB/BCC/BCD/BCE/EWS)

   6. Aadhar Card

   7. Study Certificate from 4th to 10th Class. In case of study of 4th to 10th in Telangana and migrated to AP after bifurcation, then certificate from the revenue authorities to that effect as per G.O.Ms.No.132 & 133 GA (SPF&MC) Dept. 13.06.2016 (proof of local candidate)

2. Applications are received online between 05.05.2024 to 12.05.2024

3. Fees: Rs 1000/- for OCs and Rs 500/- for BC, SC, and ST
