Medical Category: Candidates must be in the S1A1 medical category.
Character: Applicants must have an Exemplary character record.
Service History: Ex-servicemen must have retired after 01.07.2021 and should not have a discharge from service of more than 5 years.
Course Grading: Master, Engine driver, and Syrang require Grade-I qualification; Dingy driver and Seaman mechanic require Grade-I or Grade-II qualification.

Seaman II & Seaman: Maximum 43 years of age.
NCO: Maximum 50 years of age.
JCO: Maximum 54 years of age.
