• Eligibility: The candidate must be a citizen of India and meet the required qualifications and experience.

Selection Procedure

1. The application of the candidates which will be received within the prescribed date and time and who submit the requisite fee will be scrutinized by the scrutiny committee of the Institute and only the eligible candidates will be called for personal interview before the Standing Selection Committee of the Institute.

2. In case the number of applicants are large, the selection committee of the Institute may devise a criteria for short-listing the candidates which may include holding of written examination.

3. Only the eligible candidates/shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. However, the same would be provisional subject to fulfillment of all requirements failing which he/she will not be allowed to appear for interview.

4. Interview letters will be sent by post/through email ID and the complete interview schedule will also be made available on the website.

5. The candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professor would also be required to make a presentation on his/her work/achievements before the selection committee for a duration not exceeding 05 minutes.

6. The presentation should be prepared in MICROSOFT POWER POINT and should contain information as per proforma given along with the application form.

7. The candidates are also requested to submit the same in a CD at least one day before the interview in the Recruitment Cell, PGIMER, Chandigarh. No other option like PEN DRIVE etc. will be accepted.

8. The interview with the Selection Committee is mandatory for which the candidate has to appear personally.

9. The decision of the competent authority regarding selection of candidates will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.

10. The date and time for interview will be intimated to the eligible/shortlisted candidates only and the same will also be published in the PGIMER website (www.pgimer.edu.in).

11. The information regarding eligibility/shortlisting of candidates will be published in PGIMER website only.

12. The selected candidates will be issued appointment letters. The appointment of selected candidates is subject to his/her being declared medically fit by the competent authority.

PGIMER Recruitment 2024: Application Process

• Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and fulfill all requirements on or before July 15, 2024.

• Applicants can visit the PGIMER website (www.pgimer.edu.in) to generate a challan form and application form.

• The application form must be filled in BLOCK LETTERS, and all fields must be completed. No fields should be left blank.

• The application fee must be paid through a challan form (Triplicate) in any State Bank of India branch. The fee amounts are:

  • SC/ST: Rs. 800/-

  • For all others: Rs. 1500/-

  • For Persons with disabilities (PwBD): NIL

• Candidates must ensure that the bank officials fill in the challan form completely, including the seal, challan number, and signature.

• Only the prescribed payment method will be accepted. No other forms of payment, such as Demand Draft, Banker Cheque, Money Order, or Postal order, will be accepted.

• Candidates must submit the offline application (hard copy) immediately after paying the fee, as it is non-refundable.

• Applicants must have a valid personal email ID and mobile number, which should be kept active during the recruitment process.

• Candidates already employed in central/state government or autonomous institutions must route their applications through the proper channel.

• The application, along with supporting documents, must be sent through registered post or Speed Post or personally to the specified address on or before July 15, 2024, at 04:00 PM.

• Please note that incomplete applications, applications received after the due date, or those without the prescribed application fee will be summarily rejected.
