Qualification and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognized board. Candidates should have studied the local language up to 10th Standard.
Other Qualifications:
Knowledge of computer
Knowledge of cycling
Adequate means of livelihood
Age Limit
Minimum age: 18 years
Maximum age: 40 years
Age relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years; OBC: 3 years; PwD: 10-15 years depending on category.

The GDSs are paid emoluments in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA), with an annual increase of 3%. Additionally, they are entitled to Dearness Allowance and other benefits such as GDS Gratuity and Service Discharge Benefit Scheme.
