The examination consists of two parts:
Part-I: Computer Based Examination (300 Marks)
Paper I: Objective type covering General awareness, Constitution of India, Parliamentary procedures, and Reading comprehension. (150 Marks, 3 Hours)
Paper II: Objective type covering Service Rules (Leave, Pension, Conduct, etc.), Financial Rules, RTI Act, and Precis Writing. (150 Marks, 3 Hours)
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Part-II: Evaluation of Record of Service (100 Marks)
Evaluation based on Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs).
