Minimum Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must know to read, write and speak Tamil.

  • President: The candidate is, or has been, or is qualified to be a District Judge.

  • Member: The candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University and have at least ten years of experience in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics, commerce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine.

  • At least one member or the President of the State Commission shall be a woman.

  • In case of serving officials, they can submit their online applications directly, after duly informing their Head of Department / Appointing Authority in writing.

  • Persons with Disability should be capable of efficiently discharging the duties of a President / Member
