Educational Qualification and Experience for Jobs
Assistant General Manager (Engineering)
Education: Essential Degree in Mechanical, Naval Architecture, Production Engineering, or Marine Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of post-qualification managerial experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, or marine-related engineering.
Deputy Manager (Mechanical)
Education: Essential Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Naval Architecture Engineering OR a minimum of a three-year Diploma in Mechanical, Marine, or Shipbuilding Engineering.
Experience (Degree Holders): Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification managerial experience.
Experience (Diploma Holders): Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification managerial experience.
Work Area: Experience must be in Hull fabrication, Structural outfitting, Machinery, Piping, Painting, or Accommodation outfitting.
Age Limit for Recruitment 2026
Assistant General Manager: Upper age limit is 50 years (Applicants should be born on or after 01 July 1976).
Deputy Manager: Upper age limit is 35 years (Applicants should be born on or after 01 July 1991).
Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC (NCL) and 5 years for SC candidates for reserved posts. Ex-servicemen are eligible for relaxation as per Government guidelines.
